A calculated choice in Muscat: Al Khuwair is a prestigious district, the airport and the business centre are close, and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House are within walking distance. For a city itinerary the location is close to exemplary.
The main compromise first: the resort has no beach of its own. A picturesque one is a few minutes' walk away, and there is a fine pool on site; for a city format that is usually enough.
