Honest review
Business Muscat as it is: Best Western Premiere opened in the summer of 2012 and has held its four-star business niche confidently ever since. Al Khuwair is the commercial part of the city, with embassies and ministries close at hand.
Inside — modern design: a white lobby, an atrium, an indoor pool on the ground floor. There are 203 rooms, most of them superior, with city or mountain views and a spacious bathroom with a tropical shower. The Premier lounge has a terrace serving light snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks through the day.
The food holds no surprises, but has character: an all-day restaurant with Arabic — mostly Lebanese — and international cuisine served buffet-style, and a grill house with meat dishes of the Middle East, the Mediterranean and America. For coffee, head to Connection Cafe in the lobby: the cappuccino really is excellent, with fresh fruit juices alongside.
For work — four conference rooms for 15 to 150 people; for recovery — a gym, a pool, a sauna, a spa centre and a beauty salon.
An option for business trips and short city stopovers in Muscat — this is not a beach scenario, and that is its honesty.
