A solid four-star resort of the business kind — and perfectly sensible for an ordinary trip to Oman too.
The location is workmanlike in the best sense: the Oman exhibition centre and many historical sights are nearby — convenient for a business trip and for getting to know the country.
The 177 rooms and 6 suites are fitted out without surprises, but with premium bedding — something you appreciate after a full day of walking the city.
Dining is buffet-style with international cuisine, and the week has its own rhythm: Tuesday is seafood, Wednesday is meat dishes, and on Thursdays there is a live cooking show in the open kitchen. In the evening — the pool bar with snacks and cold drinks, or the sports bar if you fancy cheering on your team.
The outdoor pool works year-round, and there is a gym with cardio and strength zones, a sauna and a spa — a relaxing massage after a busy day settles a lot.
It suits business travellers and families alike — there is a kids' club on site, and a green garden with a spacious terrace.
