A resort created specifically for lovers: You & Me opened in 2019 in an adults-only format and holds the romantic bar high in everything, from the dining concept to the parties.
The gastronomy is set up generously: the dine-around system lets you lunch and dine in all the à la carte restaurants, getting to know the island's whole kitchen. The highlight is H2O, the underwater restaurant 6 metres down: it is not part of dine-around, but going down there is a must — for the menu and the exotic fish behind the thick glass.
On snorkelling, be ready for one caveat: a strong current can get in the way at the house reef. In return, Raa is one of the most beautiful atolls for marine life: plenty of snorkelling and diving spots all around, with experienced instructors from the 5-star dive centre, and a manta-watching point 25 minutes away by boat (the season usually runs November to May).
Life keeps going in the evening too: live music, DJs, folk dance performances. This is the Maldives at an active tempo, not in meditative silence.
The resort suits active couples and honeymooners best — and for the latter there are regular special offers.
