Honest review
An old-school Italian resort on a small island in Ari Atoll — a place for those who come for quiet and the garden, not for novelty.
The island is almost a botanical garden: in a 15-minute walk you will see palms, mangroves, flowering fruit trees, a banyan, orchid gardens and ponds with water lilies. All this greenery is constantly tended.
There are few villas, separated by hedges and latticework, and nearly every one has its own stretch of beach. Together this creates the rare feeling of being the island's only guests. The house reef is rich with life: sharks, rays, turtles.
Now the honest part: the last renovation was more than ten years ago, and to some the resort may look a little faded. The Italian warmth, the excellent food in the restaurants and the beauty of the island largely make up for it — but do not come here for designer interiors.
Evenings are quiet and entertainment is scarce; days here are spent snorkelling, at the spa and sunbathing. A separate recommendation for newlyweds: the resort has a large range of wedding ceremonies and vow-exchange formats.
