Pick Dhiggiri if your holiday formula reads: small island, nobody extra, good diving. The resort occupies a tiny island in Vaavu Atoll, 65 km from Velana airport, and deliberately keeps things calm: guests from 12 up only, a mostly European crowd.
The main practical advice concerns the villas: the water villas are fine, but their terraces give no privacy. If you want seclusion, ask for a Garden Villa — the standard solution here.
The sea is the main storyline: good diving conditions, up to and including a memorable swim with sharks. On land — a sandy beach within easy walking distance and a scenic sandbank for strolls.
It is easy to switch off here: the island is so small it feels like your own within a day.
One for young travellers and couples who value nature, water and unhurried time.
