If you are after all-inclusive Maldives with no asterisks and no surcharges, Heritance Aarah should top the shortlist. The Premium All Inclusive plan covers absolutely every restaurant and bar on the island, premium alcohol included, with 32 wines and more than 70 cocktails.
The kitchen's level is confirmed not by epithets but by medals: 4 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze at the Culinary Olympics in Germany in March 2020. The menu's geography runs from France and Italy to the Middle East and Turkey.
The island is green and relatively small, in the very heart of Raa Atoll. Walking is optional: buggies circulate around the island and can be called straight from your villa.
A flight-planning tip: the resort is 150 km from Malé, the seaplane takes about 45 minutes and flies only between 06:00 and 16:00 — with a late arrival in Malé, allow for a wait. One more nuance: the seaplane sometimes lands by neighbouring islands, and a boat brings guests the rest of the way.
Who it suits: gourmets, couples — there are special events for them — and families: the kids' club will keep the youngest guests busy.
