Choose this resort if you want all-inclusive with no compromises on the sea: the house reef rings the island entirely, and snorkelling is available straight from the shore at any moment.
The all-inclusive system covers 5 restaurants — a rare chance to change cuisine every evening without paying extra; the restaurants themselves are bright and lively.
For dives, head to the local 5-star certified dive centre: morning, daytime and night outings, snorkelling tours and excursions. By day the island lives calmly: yoga, water sports, walks along the wide beach.
Two nuances are worth knowing in advance. First: after a partial renovation the villas have become lighter and more modern, but there are no televisions in them — bring books. Second: children of any age are accepted, yet the resort is more for couples and adult parties than for families.
In the evening — live music, Maldivian performances and lectures by a marine biologist.
Ari Atoll; an option for those who value a reef at the doorstep and a predictable budget.
