Honest review
First, the essentials for planning: from 1 November 2025 the resort takes adults only (18+) — booking it with children is no longer possible. With the move to Adults Only, the category has risen from 4* to 5*.
For couples this is rather good news. The resort was chosen for romance and calm even before: after a sweeping 2019 reconstruction it changed beyond recognition, and its adults-only island, joined to the main one by a walkway, was its signature — now the whole territory works that way.
The format is All Inclusive, and for a remote atoll that is sensible: restaurants, bars, an overwater spa, snorkelling, diving and lagoon outings — everything at hand and no surprises on the bill.
Count the journey honestly: Meemu Atoll, 148 km from Velana, 2 hours 15 minutes by speedboat with one 20-minute stop. That is the price of seclusion — and for a honeymoon it is justified.
