This magnificent resort, part of the Relais & Chateaux portfolio, occupies twelve
manicured acres atop a striking headland above the Indian Ocean on Sri Lanka's south coast, just thirty minutes' drive east of Galle.
The collection of villas and suites creates the charming illusion of a traditional Sri Lankan village. Yet beneath the local terracotta-tiled roofs, stylish interiors unfold into spacious contemporary living quarters, each surrounded by a well-tended garden.
Guests have shared infinity pools for every 2–3 villas, 2 main pools, a cove pool and a unique 60-metre crescent-shaped infinity pool on the clifftop with a remarkable view.
The grounds include a spa villa, a water sports centre and a fitness centre. Guests can take diving lessons at the PADI-certified dive centre, as well as surfing lessons, lake kayaking and cycle rides through a rice plantation. Snorkelling, stilt fishing and whale watching are popular in the surrounding area.
Guests can dine at restaurants with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, serving Sri Lankan and European dishes seasoned with locally produced spices.
