The strengths are in place: a striking location, gardens and flowering greenery, villas mostly set on the hillside — as hidden from view as they can be. The declared motto, "a holiday like paradise", the resort largely lives up to.
First nuance: planned improvement works are under way. The schedule is gentle — work runs from 07:30 to 17:30, with moderately noisy work only from 10:30 to 17:30 — but you should know about it. From 21 December 2025 to 10 January 2026 all works stop completely, and a festive programme of free events is laid on for those dates — the best window for a trip.
Second nuance: a mandatory deposit of 250–300 euros per room per day as a guarantee for extra services — build it into the budget in advance.
Who it suits: couples and families who choose Raffles for the privacy of the villas and the greenery — and are ready to plan their dates wisely.
