Honest review
The Seychelles as a hidden paradise: just 30 villas on the west coast of Mahé, each one literally built into the living landscape by Bill Bensley — around them, across 30 acres, nothing but dense forest, flower and herb gardens and the footpaths linking villa to villa.
The villas come in two characters. Some stand on the hilltop with a panorama of Anse Louis beach and the Indian Ocean — that one is about seclusion and contemplation. Others sit right by the water with access to soft white sand: these are usually chosen by families and groups who want to stay close to each other.
For all the air of being lost to the world, you will not be bored: at the spa, specialists match face and body treatments to each guest, using signature aromatic blends.
A practical detail: since 10 April 2023 the resort charges an environmental fee of 5 euros per night — a contribution to the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles (MCSS). A trifle in the budget, but worth knowing in advance.
A choice for the discerning: a honeymoon, an anniversary, a trip where privacy matters more than sprawling infrastructure.
