Honest review
If you want to combine beach and 'civilisation' in the Seychelles, this is one of the most logical points on the map of Mahé: the resort stands on the famous three-kilometre Beau Vallon, with the centre of Victoria 3 km away.
Practicalities: Pointe Larue airport is about 12 km away, roughly 20 minutes — a short, easy transfer. The ocean entry at Beau Vallon is comfortable and the beach line is wide — no trouble with children.
Take a room with a balcony, and keep one evening for the resort's own viewing platform — the sunset and the starry sky from up there are worth it. In the ocean-view restaurants look to the Indian cuisine — that is where the accent lies.
Between beach days there is Victoria with the Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar temple, the church of 1851 and the clock tower — a miniature Big Ben — plus Morne Seychellois park and the Botanical Garden. For the active: surfing, diving, snorkelling, kayaking.
Who it is for: families and lovers of sea outings who want Mahé's main beach without being cut off from the island. A bonus: weddings, ceremonies and business events are held here.
