The luxury-or-Canggu dilemma on Bali is closed: Regent Bali Canggu, opened in December 2024, is the only luxury-class resort in the area. Bohemian Canggu with its surfing, boutiques and fashionable cafés is on the doorstep; Batu Bolong beach with its golden sunsets and surf waves is its own.
Advice on categories: if the budget allows, take a villa or the penthouse — they come with a butler and the Regent Club Lounge: champagne, à la carte breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, daily cocktails, round-the-clock service and a separate pool. Effectively a holiday within a holiday.
The base level is generous too: the "With Compliments" privileges — breakfast at any hour, around the clock, unlimited laundry and daily activities, from yoga to Balinese craft workshops.
Plan your dinners across the five restaurants and bars: the Mediterranean Beach House, the Indonesian Taro, and Cure — a project by a Michelin-starred chef.
Who it suits: those who want to live at the epicentre of Bali's fashion without giving up the level of service.
