If you are heading to Bali with children and have no wish to fight the ocean swell, look at Andaz Bali in Sanur — a new resort in the Hyatt family, opened in 2020.
The first practical reason is the sea: thanks to the breakwaters the entry is shallow and gentle, with no strong waves, and you step onto the beach straight from the grounds. For Bali this is the exception rather than the rule.
The second is the children's logistics: the room comes with a high chair, a cot and children's bath products, and next door stands the Hyatt Regency, whose facilities you can use — including the gym and a second kids' club.
The complex itself is laid out like a Balinese village with a central square, and the restaurants pair pleasant interiors with genuinely good food. The centre of Sanur is a ten-minute walk — easy to alternate dinners on site with dinners in town.
Bring the family here, children of any age; couples and active travellers will be comfortable too — Sanur is one of those places where life does not end at the resort gate.
