Honest review
A resort worth routing your trip through Singapore for: from Singapore's Tanah Merah ferry terminal it is 55 minutes by fast catamaran to Bintan, then 10 minutes (8 km) from the Bandar Bentan Telani terminal — and you are there. For comparison: from Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport the drive is 59 km, about 80 minutes. A couple of days in Singapore plus the island is the combination that suggests itself.
Banyan Tree Bintan itself is villas above the South China Sea, set among rainforest, hills and secluded beaches.
Choosing a category means choosing a scenario: there are villas with a calming ocean view and villas where you wake up surrounded by tropical nature; both have a bedroom with a king-size bed, a living area, a terrace with a private pool and a dining table. For groups and families there is a two-level villa with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Who it suits: couples, honeymooners and devotees of deliberate seclusion — city noise is not what you come here for.
