Kuta is a choice for the active, and Bali Dynasty squeezes the most out of the location: 5 minutes to the centre, the Waterbom Bali waterpark, the Mozaic beach club and the Lippo mall close by, and direct beach access from the resort.
Its strong suit is the layout: the zones are separated so that families, couples and solo travellers are all comfortable. Adults get their own Lazy Pool 18+ and an Irish pub.
The children's programme is serious: a club for ages 10–16 with yoga, an art workshop, Indonesian language lessons, water volleyball and treasure hunts. Families should look at the Family Rooms with bunk beds, and one rule eases the budget: children under 12 dine free at the themed buffet dinners when accompanied by an adult paying full price.
The style is Indonesian, the mood lively and urban: people come here for full days, not for seclusion.
It suits families with older children and anyone who wants energy and a convenient base on Bali.
