A convenient gateway to Oman: The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat stands 7 km from the international airport — you go from the plane to the beach almost without a journey, and the historic centre of Muscat is half an hour away.
Build the holiday around your interests: a golf course, tennis courts, water sports, a fitness centre and a spa — a rare case where the infrastructure amounts to more than a pool and a beach. Though it has those too: the beach is private and there are several pools.
For food, head to the main restaurant: à la carte breakfast in the morning, Omani and Zanzibari cuisine at lunch and dinner. A word of advice — do not skip the local dishes; they are the taste this destination is chosen for.
In the evening, walk the landscaped gardens or drive into Muscat: half an hour to the old town keeps the cultural programme effortless.
