Honest review
One of the most popular luxury resorts in South Male Atoll — deservedly so. The small private island lies in the middle of a vast turquoise lagoon and is so narrow that from the paths you see water on both sides.
Everything here fits organically into the landscape: the beach villas and reception face west — straight into the famous Maldivian sunsets — the water villas stretch along the eastern side, and on the southern tip stand one of the restaurants and a magnificent panoramic pool. There is even a splendid library holding a large collection of fine editions.
The villas are modern yet authentic: natural materials, ethnic pieces in the interiors, and each comes with a butler acting as a personal assistant. The presidential suite has collected a string of international awards and is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
No complaints about the food: delicious and varied, with themed evenings, tastings of wines from around the world led by a professional sommelier, and — for an extra charge — dinner in a tree canopy or on an uninhabited island.
The one minus is the lack of a house reef. It is softened by dive trips, cruises, fishing, seaplane flights, yoga and excursions all the way to Male. A resort for honeymoons and special occasions.
