After its rebranding, the island has been transformed. It is now connected by footbridges to two neighboring islands, each home to its own part of the resort with its own restaurants, bars and facilities.
Most of the entertainment, along with the main reception and the greater share of the villas, remains on the main island, where guests of any age may stay.
A distinctive feature of the island's location is that from June to October fairly strong winds blow across the local lagoon. This is precisely why the island has become a mecca for kitesurfers, and why it is home to one of the few certified kitesurfing schools in the Maldives and a modern water sports center.
The resort is excellent for snorkeling: there is no profusion of coral, but the underwater life is nevertheless very rich, and turtles and rays are frequently encountered.
The 3 spa centers offer a variety of relaxing body massages, open-air flower baths and beauty treatments.
