Gili Lankanfushi is unhurried living amid pristine nature on North Malé Atoll. The management builds everything around attention to detail and to the environment, and you feel it. From every villa you look out at the ocean and the Maldivian sunsets — no other views are provided.
The island lives at a slow pace, but there is something for both idleness and activity. Once a week there is a cocktail party where guests meet and swap impressions.
Divers are especially lucky: the world-famous Manta Point lies close to the island. So are surfers: one of the best spots in the Maldives is a 20-minute ride away.
An important nuance: there is no children's entertainment on the island, and overwater stays are not advisable with children under 12. So the resort is for romantic escapes and families with older children. A pleasant bonus: Malé airport is only 12 km away.
