Honest review
Excellent value for money — and one of the most honest formulas in the Maldives: people come here not for deluxe rooms but for a perfect beach, snorkelling and world-class diving.
The island has kept its wildness in the best sense: walks here feel more like walks through jungle — no neat pathways, but tree shade and soft sand underfoot.
Embudu Village is a meeting place for committed divers. There is an excellent school whose professionalism and friendliness bring guests back year after year, and a couple of minutes from the island lies the protected zone of Embudu Candu with bright coral gardens, sharks and more. Around 35 dive sites of North and South Malé are close by.
The food, by the way, deserves its praise — it just isn't the point here.
There is no age restriction, but note: there is no children's entertainment on the island. A resort for divers, snorkellers and everyone who values cosiness over polish.
