Honest review
The island is small but very green, with an excellent, magnificent beach of soft, fine white sand and no coral at the water's entry on any side. A very homely atmosphere reigns on the island, making it a fit for all guests. It is a great choice for romance — a unique way to feel like Robinson Crusoe — and it also suits families with children, for whom the hotel offers a very flexible loyalty policy on accommodation.
This is Baa Atoll, which, as we know, has a rich underwater world — you can see colorful corals. The hotel also has its own boat, so water excursions and impressions are guaranteed.
'Dhigufaru was the first resort I ever stayed at in the Maldives, and it set the beach standard for every hotel that followed. The sand here is perfectly soft, fine and powdery, and the entry into the water is gentle and gradual. It is equally good for a holiday for two and for families with children whose main requirements are a good product at a fair price, a small island, few people and a comfortable beach.'
The island is called Dhigufaru Vinagandhu and lies 148 km from Velana International Airport (Male). You can reach the hotel by seaplane, or by domestic flight followed by speedboat. While waiting for the plane you can use the hotel's air-conditioned lounge (V.I.P. only).
