Dhawa Ihuru is an intimate little luxury resort with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, set on a beautiful island with one of the most impressive house reefs in the Maldives.
The resort is managed by one of the world's most luxurious hotel brands, Singapore's Banyan Tree — which means the level of service, and the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff, are of the highest order.
On the neighboring island there is another hotel belonging to the same group, and it is open to visits from guests.
The island is one of the smallest and is very easy to explore — walks along the beach at sunrise and sunset are especially pleasant. It is beautiful and green, with quiet paths winding between the palms and the villas, which stand close together but are separated by fencing and dense vegetation.
The island has an excellent beach, but its greatest asset is considered to be the house reef, which divers have more than once ranked among the very best. Near the island lies a sunken wreck that is also a favorite on dives. The island has its own dive center for all levels of PADI certification, organizing both day and night dives.
