Opened in the winter of 2016, this is the first designer hotel in the Maldives founded on the principle of 'affordable luxury.'
The concept is clearly a popular one: the resort is regularly a winner or nominee of all manner of international awards.
The resort welcomes every category of traveler and is equally hospitable to honeymooners, divers and guests who simply want to soak up the stunning beauty of the Maldives.
The resort's entire design was created by the renowned international studio LAGO, with the guiding idea of preserving nature in its unspoiled state. The designers clearly succeeded: despite the villas' contemporary interiors and the natural materials used in the decor, 80% of your attention is taken up by clean sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and coconut palms swaying in the wind.
The island on which the resort stands is quite small — you can cross it in 20-30 minutes — yet it never feels cramped, thanks to the thoughtful placement of everything on it.
The island's only drawback might be that the house reef lies rather far from shore; even so, you can encounter reef sharks, rays and turtles right in the lagoon, and around the island there are some 50 popular dive spots, which you can always visit accompanied by the experienced instructors of the certified 5-star dive center.
