One of the clearest family choices in the Maldives: all-inclusive, spacious villas, a kids' club with a disco, and an island around two and a half kilometres long, where children can run and adults can cycle.
Advice on the island's geography: all the villas stand on the side of the calm lagoon, where swimming is easy; the opposite shore is rough ocean with wild beaches and waves — you go there for awe and photographs, not for a swim.
The all-inclusive plan comes with bonuses — discounts on the spa and on dive training. Divers are lucky with the address in general: Lhaviyani Atoll is loved by manta rays, and the local colony numbers more than 300.
The logistics are long-range: 133 km from Velana airport, though the resort keeps its own lounge there. Mind the baggage rules: 20 kg free, a maximum of 32 kg checked and 3 kg of hand luggage — excess is paid to the carrier.
Families first; couples who want a big, living island rather than a postcard miniature will be happy here too.
