A rare format for the Maldives: a resort honestly built around children. Centara Mirage Lagoon is the newcomer from the Thai chain Centara Hotels & Resorts in the very heart of North Male Atoll, and the whole island is arranged as one big family playground.
The water zone is the main argument: a pool, a separate children's pool, a winding lazy river and an aquatic play area. Boredom is difficult at any age, and Thai hospitality lends softness even to the most active format.
Logistics are a strong point: 25 km from Velana international airport, 30–40 minutes by speedboat, no seaplane involved. With small children that is a serious plus.
Who this is for: families with children of any age who value entertainment, modern infrastructure and a short transfer. Those flying to the Maldives for quiet as a couple should look at other islands.
