Honest review
A genuine Arabian palace — especially striking at night, when the building is lit by a multitude of lights. Behind the strict lines of the facade are interiors in soft cream tones, where Eastern refinement meets modern chic.
There are 203 rooms, looking onto the sea, the golf course or the gardens; some have balconies and terraces, and the view from them is worth it. The beach is private and sandy, 350 metres long, with umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses and towels all free.
The table will not be dull: eight restaurants and lounges. Lexington Grill does classic steaks and grills, UMI Japanese cuisine, teppanyaki and sushi, and the main Qasr Al Bahar goes for ceremonial presentation.
The balance of generations is carefully worked out: a lagoon-shaped family pool, a kids' club and a water playground on one side, an adults-only beach club on the other. Add the signature Waldorf Astoria spa, a gym with Technogym equipment and two floodlit tennis courts, with extensive gardens all around.
A resort for family holidays where the parents do not have to sacrifice themselves — and at the same time a beautiful stage set for a honeymoon.
