If it is beachfront luxury in Ajman you are after, start with this resort: it stands along its own private beach and holds the title of the first Luxury Collection beach resort in the Middle East.
The category logic goes like this. The base rooms — refined Arabic style, a corner sofa in the seating area, a balcony overlooking the creek. The sea-view Deluxe rooms — modern decor with Arabic accents in muted tones. The suites are small residences in their own right: a living room, a dining table, a separate study, a built-in wardrobe and a bathroom with a TV disguised as a mirror.
A detail for connoisseurs of good sleep: both the suites and the Deluxe rooms come with orthopaedic mattresses.
The view is a choice of its own: city, creek or turquoise sea; ask at booking — windows on the water are worth it.
