If the plan is Dubai without a car, this address solves it: The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm connects directly to the Nakheel shopping mall with more than 300 shops, restaurants and entertainments. In summer that is a lifesaver: from your room into the city without stepping into the heat.
The resort is young, opened in May 2021, so the rooms are in excellent shape: separate seating areas, panoramic windows looking over the city and the ocean, Frette linens and down pillows.
A piece of advice: use the butler — the service runs around the clock, and it is what turns a high-rise into genuinely personal service.
Inside is everything for a self-contained stay: four venues with signature dishes, pools, a spa and a gym with the latest equipment.
An honest caveat: this is a vertical, urban format on the trunk of the Palm, not a secluded beach island. In return, the views, the logistics and the shopping are at a level that is hard to match. It suits those coming for the city-as-celebration, not for silence.
