Honest review
Desert instead of sea — and it is a deliberate choice: The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert hides among the dunes of a nature reserve, in a private, gated area of more than 1,200 acres.
You stay in a standalone villa with its own pool and a panoramic terrace: beyond the glass, endless sand; inside, Arabian motifs and modern comfort. The silence here is absolute, almost tangible.
The main experiences are not in the spa, luxurious as it is, but outside: rides on horseback and camelback, falconry, and watching the reserve's wild animals in their natural habitat.
Getting there is easier than it seems: 75–100 km from Dubai airport, roughly 45–60 minutes on the road.
This is a resort for the second week of an Emirates trip, or for those who have already seen every beach: the desert at sunset delivers an emotion the sea cannot repeat — which is exactly what couples come here for.
