When planning the trip, factor in the main trump card — the food. Nine restaurants and bars: Blue Jade with Asian cuisine, the Bedouin-style Amaseena, open kitchens, themed dinners on the beach and lively Friday brunches.
A day here is easy to build without a car: a white-sand beach, water sports, sunrise yoga, with golf courses and birdwatching nearby.
Set aside a separate half-day for recovery: the spa with its 12 treatment rooms, eucalyptus steam rooms and hot and cold pools deserves an unhurried visit.
