Not a building but a whole oriental town: Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf is villas and stone palaces, canals, suspended bridges, lanes and embankments right on the Persian Gulf shore.
The atmosphere is its own: stained glass, natural wood and marble, the feel of an old Arabian town — even though all of it was built recently. Instead of walks in the heat, a water taxi: a canopied boat collects you from the villa and delivers you to any point of the complex. If the sun doesn't put you off, walk it too — the details here are worked through to the smallest thing.
The resort sits within the Madinat Jumeirah complex with all its possibilities: more than 40 signature restaurants, the Wild Wadi water park and the Burj Al Arab next door. The beach is private — 2 km of sand, first line, with towels, umbrellas, loungers and mattresses free of charge.
