This is not the typical Arabian hotel of which Dubai has so many; it is an astonishing oriental town that has stepped off an ancient Arabian painting onto a white-sand beach. Guests are greeted by classic oriental villas and stone palaces, a multitude of canals and suspended bridges, lanes and waterfronts. The hotel belongs to the famous JUMEIRAH INTERNATIONAL LLC chain, so everything needed for an idyllic holiday is close by — the Burj Al Arab, the Wild Wadi water park, and signature restaurants, more than 40 of them across the complex. Thanks to the oriental-bazaar atmosphere created by the distinctive design, architecture, and stained glass, you forget that you are not in a town far beyond the resort, but right at its heart. All the hotel's interiors are finished only in natural materials — wood and marble.
Guests' routes were worked out by the hotel's creators in advance, so you will not have to walk in the exhausting heat. Step out of your room and hop into a canopied boat: a water taxi will take you to any point of the resort. But if you are not afraid of the sun, do stroll through the lanes yourself — believe us, there is plenty to see beyond the design and architecture; the creators attended to countless details that come together into a complete picture.
