JA Beach Hotel is a rare case of honest all-inclusive in the Emirates: only a handful of resorts in the country run this board basis, and here it comes with five stars and a seafront position.
Most of the 235 rooms look out over the Persian Gulf, the private marina or the lush gardens — from the windows, terraces and balconies. The design is light, with soft textiles and natural materials.
The dining is a reason to come in itself: 25 restaurants and bars, and we suggest starting with Kinara — modern Indian cooking from Vikas Khanna, a Michelin-starred chef.
Families have the run of the place: the Pirates & Mermaids kids' club, a nursery, entertainment, babysitting, a children's pool and direct access to the private beach. For adults there are more than 40 activities: tennis, water sports, stables, Calm Spa and a salon. The resort's pride is the 9-hole golf course with its own academy.
Who it suits: families with children of any age, and anyone who values the pay-once-and-relax format.
