If the Yas Island parks are on your list, stay right here and save yourself hours on the road. Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island stands on the Yas Bay waterfront, in one of the region's most exciting destinations.
What's nearby: a theme park with rides built around favourite characters, a waterpark with more than 40 attractions (including the Bubbles Barrel, Rush Rider and Bandit Bomber slides) and the Ferrari theme park with Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster there is. A tip: don't try to fit everything into one day — each park fills a full programme.
In the evening there is no need to go far: the lively waterfront with its many restaurants and shops starts right outside the doors, with a fine dinner at Cafe Del Mar, for instance.
The rooms are bright, spacious and modern; take a king-size bed or two twins, with a separate shower and bath in the bathroom — convenient for a couple and for parents with children alike.
Who it suits: families with children first of all, though couples chasing thrills won't feel out of place either.
