Before booking this resort, ask yourself one question: are you here for the parties or for quiet? Five Palm Jumeirah honestly specialises in the former — nightlife here is not a backdrop but the profile. Families with small children should weigh it up: it can get noisy.
If you do decide to come with children, the infrastructure is there: a kids' club with sports contests, book reading and other activities takes children from age 5 for the whole day, seven days a week.
The room stock runs to 470 rooms across categories: standard and superior, junior suites, multi-room suites, townhouses and penthouses. Groups and large families should look at the townhouses and penthouses in particular.
