Italian Dubai: Bvlgari Resort takes up part of the shoreline of the horseshoe-shaped Jumeira Bay island and lives like a Mediterranean oasis in the city — with its own 46-berth marina, as if a piece of the Mediterranean had been carried into the heart of town.
Daytime life revolves around the beach club: private cabanas, an outdoor pool with a bar, the La Spiaggia restaurant, water sports. Families have it easy: the Little Gems kids' club and a separate children's pool settle the question of what the youngest are up to.
The spa deserves a visit of its own: 7 treatment rooms and a couples' suite, a hammam, a 25-metre indoor pool and another one modelled on the ancient Roman baths of Caracalla.
The sports side is more serious than the usual 'fitness room': Workshop Gymnasium, Technogym equipment, and specialists who will advise on strength training, yoga, Pilates, swimming and boxing and help build a training and nutrition plan around your personal goals.
Who it's for: couples and families who want Dubai at a Mediterranean pace — with a beach, a marina and a big, genuine spa.
