A practical view of Atlantis The Palm: this is not simply a place to stay by a beach but a ticket into Dubai's great water universe, so choose it for the waterpark and the aquarium, not in spite of them.
Plan at least two full days for the waterpark: since the 2022 Guinness record there are more than 105 slides and rides here — from the world's tallest double-wave slide to the longest family rafting slide and a cliff jump. One day is not enough for all of it.
Keep another day for the Lost Chambers aquarium and the Ambassador lagoon: 65,000 marine animals and more than 250 species — jellyfish, moray eels, lobsters, eagle rays, Arabian carpet sharks. Plus an education centre where marine life and its protection are taken seriously.
For quieter hours there are four pools — the Palm Pool, a family pool and two on WHITE Beach — and a beach at the centre of the Palm's crescent.
Bring children here, from pre-schoolers to teenagers: no one will be bored. A couple without children should be ready for a permanent festival all around.
