An eclectic, very 'Dubai' resort on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah — with a homely intonation instead of ceremonial gloss.
The room stock is unusual: of 217 accommodations, 116 are designer residences, plus 30 suites and 4 premium suites. If you are coming for a long stay or with the family, a residence is the most logical format.
The waterfront is serious: a 300-metre sandy beach, an infinity pool and the adults-only Cabana pool — its vivid colour design is the work of Emirati artist Khalid Shafar.
Dining means five restaurants, from international cooking to traditional Middle Eastern dishes. For balance there are a spa, a modern fitness centre and a yoga terrace looking over the Palm's beach.
Come here if you want to live on the Palm with beach and pools, but to use it as a starting point for trips into the city rather than sitting in complete seclusion.
