Honest review
Phuket as it looks on a postcard: the six-kilometre white crescent of Karon beach, a beautiful bay — and a resort whose architecture draws on the Sino-Portuguese style that once became the island's signature. A green hill frames the grounds, and at their centre is the resort's own water park.
The water park really is the heart of life here, and that is why families love the resort. For those after quiet, we recommend the villas: they stand apart from the main grounds, with sea views and club privileges — the atmosphere there is different altogether, and exclusive.
Dining is a strong suit: seven venues, authentic Thai dishes and freshly caught seafood on the shore of the Andaman Sea, with Italian cooking as well.
The spa menu holds traditional Thai massage, Ayurvedic programmes and face and body treatments based on local herbs and ingredients. A resort first and foremost for families with children; couples should choose the villa zone — it is noticeably calmer.
