A practical benchmark: if a short transfer and privacy top your list, the north of Phuket wins — the airport is only 15 km from this resort on Mai Khao beach.
Take a villa — that is the main format here: each has its own private pool, southern-Thai styling, light tones, natural materials. In some villas the bathtub stands in the open air by the pool, and the bedroom connects to an inner courtyard — a layout for living outdoors.
Days assemble easily from activities: yoga, tennis, Thai boxing, diving, the gym; set one day aside for a yacht cruise.
In the evening — the beach grill, sushi and fresh seafood, Indian cooking or drinks by the pool; for recovery, a spa overlooking a lagoon of lotus blossom, with Thai techniques and bamboo massage, plus fitness and detox programmes.
Mind the geography: central Patong is 45 km away, so nightlife means a drive. For a quiet trip as a couple or a family, that is more plus than minus.
