If you are choosing Zanzibar with children, start with the key question — the tides. Here it is all but solved: at Muyuni beach in Matemwe the entry into the water is smooth and gradual, the tides are minor, and their timetable is easy to follow in a dedicated mobile app.
Everything else builds the family picture: all-inclusive, the Dolphin kids' club for ages 3 to 12, a playground right by the beach, and three cuisines — South American, Brazilian and Asian.
The accommodation makes no compromises: all 250 rooms are suites of 59 to 400 sq m with private terraces, some with a jacuzzi or plunge pool. The 10-hectare grounds cascade down to the ocean, and the landscaping is thought through to the smallest detail.
