Honest review
A calm family resort in Kalutara — a spot on the ocean shore where Sri Lanka's cultural motifs sit alongside a carefree beach rhythm, far from the bustle.
The grounds are six acres right on the ocean, ringed by coconut palms; white walls, a white sandy beach and the ocean breeze set the general tone. The rooms are refined, with views over a striking panorama.
The dining is compact but considered: two restaurants — Svar and Pink Lobster — and two bars, Taaza and Twist; each venue has an exclusive menu and its own signature approach. In the evenings — live music.
Now the logistics, and here let us be honest: 80 km from the international airport, 37 from Colombo, and the transfer takes about two hours. Dress lightly for the road and plan nothing for the evening you land.
A resort for families and couples in search of a quiet shore and first-class service — and willing to sit out the journey for them.
