Honest review
despite its 'three stars', surprises with its scale on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka — large, green, well-kept, and shady grounds.
And the diversity of its wildlife turns the hotel into a veritable 'national park': chipmunks, monkeys, squirrels, parrots, tropical birds.
The underwater world is impressive too: rays, sea turtles, colourful fish. And 30 km offshore — sperm whales, blue whales, dolphins.
Firstly, the hotel's beach is perfectly suited both to devotees of sunbathing and to swimming enthusiasts.
Secondly, there is practically no infrastructure around. Nearby there are only other hotels, and in the village of the same name closest to Nilaveli Beach — just the bare essentials: a few cafes and small restaurants serving seafood dishes, small shops, and stalls with fresh vegetables and fruit.
Thirdly, the nearest sights and activities are only natural ones (an excursion to Pigeon Island) and water-based ones (diving, snorkelling, surfing).
