Coco Bay Unawatuna is a very small yet cozy boutique hotel of just 16 rooms at the entrance to Unawatuna (southern Sri Lanka), right on the shore of the Indian Ocean.
The hotel positions itself as a luxury beach hotel, promises guests luxury-level conditions and genuinely strives to live up to that standard.
That said, this is unequivocally a choice for relaxed, unhurried time by the ocean and communion with nature. Demanding but active guests will quickly grow bored here.
A beachfront location, a gentle slope into the water, no tall or powerful waves, no undertow — ideal conditions for ocean-side relaxation and sunbathing.
What's more, two of Unawatuna's best beaches, with their diverse underwater life and magnificent panoramas, are within walking distance.
Secondly, the hotel stands apart from the other hotels along the coast and is buried in greenery.
