Honest review
If you knew this resort as the JW Marriott Mauritius Resort — meet it again: it is now the St. Regis Le Morne, and the changes are not cosmetic.
Multi-million investment went into the update: the Le Manoir restaurant has been reworked, and a patisserie, La Pâtisserie, has appeared, serving island desserts and signature coffee. Service has been brought up to the St. Regis house standard — with a butler who takes on everything from unpacking your luggage to personal routes around the island, around the clock.
The location is a card of its own: the south-west of the island, the Le Morne peninsula, right at the foot of a mountain on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
The practical side: 50 km to the airport, 40 to the capital, Port Louis. Not the shortest transfer, but you end up far from the city bustle.
The recommendation is simple: come for privacy, the butler and the unshakeable St. Regis standards of hospitality. A resort for couples and for connoisseurs of service in which details decide everything.
