Honest review
A pleasant resort of the Sun Resorts chain on the west coast of Mauritius — where the weather favours a holiday all year round — fully renovated in 2020 and named Mauritius's best beach resort of 2021 at the World Travel Awards.
The setting is lively: five minutes on foot and you're in the town of Flic-en-Flac, so you won't feel locked inside the grounds.
Worth knowing about the accommodation in advance: the 'villa' category here means cottages, not villas. Inside, though, there's nothing to complain about: spacious rooms of 40–80 sq m with handsome contemporary design, most facing the ocean, and right behind the cottages a picturesque pond with black swans, flamingos and pelicans.
A separate trump card for golfers: privileged access to two 18-hole courses, free shuttles to the Tamarina golf club and to the Pointe Moris pier. By prior booking you can use the facilities and restaurants of the neighbouring resort of the same chain.
Who it suits: couples and families who want the west of Mauritius with its stable weather — and golfers, without reservations.
