A small and very cosy Radisson Blu spa resort on the north-east coast of Mauritius — for those who value a measured pace and attentive service: the team here is genuinely responsive and works to create a special atmosphere.
The resort stands on the protected beach of the Azuri estate; five minutes by car brings you to the impressive Bras d'Eau national park.
About the beach, honestly: it is small, set in a lagoon, and there are stones at the water's edge — bring reef shoes. In return, the water-sports programme is generous and already included in your stay: catamarans, sailing boats, canoes, surfboards, a glass-bottom boat — all without time limits, and a special platform takes swimmers out to deeper water.
The food is a varied buffet where vegetarians, healthy eaters and families with children all find their own; the chefs invent something new every day, and dinners do not repeat themselves.
A separate plus for parents is the kids' club with unusual entertainment, open from 9 in the morning to 10 at night. A resort for a calm family holiday and for couples who put atmosphere above scale.
