One of the most modern Lux* resorts on Mauritius — and you feel it everywhere. The resort opened in 2021, the interiors are by British designer Kelly Hoppen, and there are only 116 rooms — by Mauritian standards a completely new build.
The base category here is the 65-square-metre Junior Suite: a dressing room, a separate "boudoir" where you can work or get ready, a terrace behind glass partitions. The bathroom is a pleasure in itself: a rain shower with backlighting, the house cosmetics line, and the scent at the door already says "expensive".
The food is a strength: Mediterranean Beach Rouge with a buffet breakfast and à la carte after that, a Lebanese-Moroccan restaurant with a panoramic view upstairs, and a separate Asian fusion spot with Japanese and Thai menus (closed on Mondays). On half board and all-inclusive these restaurants work on a set menu or a credit of 2,600 rupees — about 50 euros per person.
The beach is 390 metres in a sheltered bay: no waves, a gentle entry, and the water stays around 27 degrees — you can swim even in poor weather. There are four pools, two for families and two adults-only; the adult one has its own restaurants, shisha in the evenings and admission for resident guests only.
The kids club (ages 3 to 12, free) splits children into three age groups with different programmes, cooking classes and its own restaurant with no adults. The caveats: the airport is an hour and ten minutes away, and the extended drinks list comes only with Premium All Inclusive — check the symbols in the menu.
Who this is for: those who value design, food and the feeling of the new over colonial classics; lively Grand Baie, "the Saint-Tropez of Mauritius", is a 20-minute walk away.
