Honest review
The strongest practical argument for this resort is the 6 kilometres to the airport: a rare case on a long-haul trip when, minutes after landing, you are already on Le Chaland Beach on the south-east coast of Mauritius.
The resort is five-star; until recently it operated as Anantara Iko Mauritius and now carries the Constance brand. Snow-white beaches, turquoise water, and views of the open horizon or tropical gardens from every category.
On accommodation the advice is simple: the base rooms are good, but the villas with private pools and the exclusive beach residences are a different level of privacy — and that is what is worth coming here for.
Everything is on site so the grounds need never be left: restaurants of international cuisine with signature dishes, bars with wine collections, a spa, sports and water activities.
It suits families and couples for whom the holiday should start straight from the aircraft steps, not after a long transfer.
